Comment on The “R-Word”. by kat.
Your post is an intelligent recount of history and what it shows is that humans regardless of race, creed or religion committed the same atrocities thorugh out. None of us are any different and we are all the same. You should understand this since you obviously are well learned and in your own written words proved it. But as a women I can tell you most of these atrocities were incited and committed by ‘man’. Yes the male species. Males (especially young males) are more prone to commit aggressive and violent acts. So my thoughts as of lately is that the problem with our societies is that they are patriarchal and we need women in leadership roles. USA is moving in the right direction because we have allowed women into the leadership arena. In a completely male dominated we have examples of what comes from it. Look at some Muslim societies in the middle east and some west African socities and the violence that is committed against women and others. The grand problem is male dominance leads to dissonance. If this country was ran strictly by women we would be in a much better place. There would still be strife but it would be handled in more rational and compromising ways. Why? Because we actually listen and empathize. The strife in our world is not a battle between cultures or races but it all stems from the greatist battle of all… battle of the sexes.
